He Make The Impossible Possible

[ January 27th, 2008 ] Posted in » Inspiring Topics
Written by: Webmaster Guy

I have started this blog with the intention of motivating and inspiring myself, to keep me going and going. Just recently, i learnt of one guy who inspire and motivates me. This guy makes the impossible, possible. And unfortunately, he is ”different” for us, normal people. He…….. He is born with NO Arms, and NO Legs, but however, he managed to do things that some of us might not have done.  His determination, his strong will, and his spirit is what that inspire us. He, is Nick Vujicic.

Nick Vujicic is an  motivational speaker and the director for “Life Without Limbs”. He talk about his life, how he move ons, and how he succeed in life. With no limbs, we, people may thought, he will not be able to do things that normal people can do, such as writing, swimming, playing drum etc. But, THIS GUY PROVES THE WORLD WRONG!!. He writes with his mouth, he can swims, and he can play drum (with his deformed leg).

I am really impressed by this guy’s determination and spirit. And, by looking at his achievements makes me feels “inferior”. His determination and spirit is what i think we should learn from. Unlike most of us, his life is full of hardship and difficulties and he managed to overcome those. Normally, most of us give up due to hardship or difficulties and yes, I am one of those that give up easily. If he can do it, why can’t us?

See one of his videos here :

If you are active in sitepoint or digitalpoint forum recently , you might had already heard of this. Pictiger.com is sold for $175,000 through sitepoint marketplace. Congrats to nikolaalx(dp member). Pictiger.com is a image hosting community whereby user can register, upload and share images.

Personally, i have created an account with Pictiger to test out its features and i can say it “rocks”. It has a professionally web 2.0 designed website, with some ajax functionality when uploading images. It is also unique compared to other image hosting websites. I have a short chat with “nikolaalx” this afternoon and found out that Pictiger.com was actually established 2 years ago. “nikolaalx” is currently only 23 years old which mean he started Pictiger.com at the age of only 21 years old.

Well, i believed many of you guys, including me are inspired by”nikolaalx”. While surfing digitalpoint forum today, i noticed alot of people are selling image hosting site, selling ebooks on how to create a profitable image hosting sites again. nikolaalx” has definitely build up the trend of image hosting sites. LOL. I am also thinking of starting mine too . :D

All the best to “nikolaalx”! :D

Why Naked Girl does not need to pay bus fare?

[ January 22nd, 2008 ] Posted in » Just for Laughs
Written by: Webmaster Guy

Anyone know why naked girl does not need to pay bus fare? LOL? Heres the story… … There’s a bus, the first girl, wearing t shirt boarded the bus and she need to pay 90 cents. The second girl, wearing mini skirt boarded the bus and she only need to pay 45 cents. The third girl, wearing bikini boarded the bus and she need to pay 20 cents. The last girl, naked, boarded the bus and does not need to pay any bus fare. Anyone knows why? LOL.. Because she has bus concession. Arghh… are you freezing? LOL?

Heres another one, what type of person, does not need to see a doctor when is sick or not feeling well? The answer is blind guy, because he can’t see the doctor.. LOL.

Mr Lim need to go to storey 50 via a lift to reach his office, but why did Mr Lim pressed storey 40 and walk up 10 stairs in order to go his office instead of pressing 50 straight away? The answer is because Mr Lim is too short, he cannot reach the storey 50 button.

Well, i guess you guys are freezing. So i think i have to stop. Today is a typical day for me, as usual, went to expo for my IAP in the day. I have 17 days more… Frankly speaking, i think IAP is kinda waste of time. I rather study in school. I guess we can learn more in school. I hate working life. Its so SIANZ ( boring). Its kind of strange, when i was studying, i feel like working, when i was working, i feel like studying. Do you have the same problem as me? LOL.

I have been reading eugene’s blog and come across his post regarding “No Arms! No Legs! No Worries!” I am inspired by this guy called “Nick Vujicic”. He is born with no legs and arms, but however, he did not give up, he did not blame god or heaven for his misfortune, instead, he overcome his difficulties and faced them strongly. He excel in his work, has a bachelor degree and is now a popular motivational speaker. Find out more by visiting Eugene’s blog.

I need to sleep now. :D Have sweet dreams…

How useful is Ping.sg for increasing your blog traffic?

[ January 22nd, 2008 ] Posted in » Blogging
Written by: Webmaster Guy

Have you been using Ping.sg as a tool to increase traffic to your blog? Recently, i have been experimenting out with Ping.sg to see if it really works? and my conclusion is “Yes!” it works. Ping.sg is a web 2.0 meta blog community, something like a social bookmarking site like digg where people can “ping” or “pong” blog entries that they found interesting. Personally, i think its a great local website, and in fact, i visited Ping.sg every morning when i am working in expo.

Below are the traffic details of my blog from launched till now. From the image, you can noticed there’s a peak in the graph. And most of the traffic on that day comes from Ping.sg. Therefore, i can conclude that  Ping.sg is a great tool for increasing your blog traffic. You just need to have an “Interesting” entry.

For those of you who have been using Wordpress script for your blog and have no idea on how to use Ping.sg for your blog, you will find the following information useful. Just follow the step by step guide below!

Step 1 : Go to http://www.ping.sg and sign up for an account and activate it.

Step 2 : Go to http://www.ping.sg/myblogs or you can navigate through the left navigation.

Step 3 : Click on “Add a blog” button and type in your details including the blog feed url. (Important) This is how Ping.sg get your entries.

Step 4: Did you see a “Update Now” button? Everytime you update your blog, you have to go log in to Ping.sg to update it. So, you find it very troublesome? You can also automate the process by using the XML-RPC update service.

Step 5: If you are using wordpress, log in your wordpress admin dashboard panel. Navigate to Options > Writing and scroll down to the bottom of the page.  You will see a Update Services section.

Step 6: Go to http://ping.sg/myblogs, get your XML-RPC url (circled in red), paste it in the text field as shown in the screenshot above and click on “Update Options”.

Thats it! Everytime whenever you posted an entry, Ping.sg will automatically update it and you will not need to manually login into the Ping.sg account to click on the “Update Now” button. That will save you time. :D

If you find this post useful, feel free spread it around. Just don’t forget to provide a link back to here :D
