Who has problem cashing out in Nuffnang?

Just visited Ping.sg and i saw alot of blogpost on nuffnangers didn’t really get their money cashed out using the nuffnang advertising program. Is this a scheme by nuffnang? Seems alot of those nuffnangers reached a limit in their balance, let say $40 and stop receiving advertisements from the company. And thus, they cannot cash out.

Well, i am not a nuffnanger but looking at the current situation, i would have to reconsider about using their services. For me, i still prefer monetizing my websites with google adense. Looking at the situation of the current blogoshere in singapore, i realised that alot of singapore bloggers had their adsense account banned or suspended. It may be mainly due to fraud clicks. I guess that is why singapore bloggers are switching from using google adsense to nuffnang or adverlets. But, are there alot of people really succeeded in making money with nuffnangs? Other than the “big guys”? Does the current blog advertising companies available in asia only caters to those “big players?”.

But, not to worry for those who are being banned from google adsense or have problem cashing out from nuffnang. There are still lots of advertising program out there that pays, one such will be Bidvertiser.com. I used them before, and managed to cash out some decent amount to paypal. Just an recommendation.

Is the current situation calling for some other blog advertising companies to be set up? Blog advertising companies that look into the welfare of every blogger? , Blog advertising companies that distribute a fair amount of revenue to each and every blogger?

Depression

Recently i think i am undergoing some sort of depression or what. I am a web designer and whenever i look at the design of other’s website, i found my design really sucks. That’s a really serious problem because a designer should be proud of things that he created. But me, i thought of the other way. I always have the feeling that i am not good enough and this kept me in confusion of whether to pursue my future career as a web designer.

I agreed there’s always someone out there that is better, but why can’t i be the better ones? Similarly, from when i started to walk till now, i did not achieve anything that i am proud of. I didn’t have any achievements. I feel useless…

 

 

Do you need to be arrogant to be confident?

I don’t really know the answer, thats why i am seeking advices from all of you. Do you guys think that an arrogrant person looks more confident? And from my observation, its seems that is correct. Most of the arrogant people that i had known looks really confident! I also came across a blog post in one of the money making blog saying you need to be arrogant to succeed. Some of my friends also agreed that being arrogant makes a person confident. Well, i don’t know how most people see me? See me as an arrogant person or what. I encountered alot of situations whereby people are discussing about topics that i know fairly well and they make some mistakes in some factual information or concepts. And, i tend to correct them. And those people will look kinda pissed off after that… I don’t know why.. But if i were them, i will inturn thank them for correcting me. That’s what i thought. I am not trying to be arrogant for what. Seems that alot of people misunderstood me. Making mistakes is common and the more mistakes you make, the more you gained.

But Below are some information i researched.

Arrogance is said to be a virtue. Here’s how you can learn what arrogance is and how to benefit from its use.

1. The purpose of arrogance is to let those whom you do not really value anyway know that you are better than them at a certain activity or in character.
2. The overall benefit to using arrogance is being treated as a superior person. In order to have that red carpet treatment, you must truly accept and adhere to strict arrogance protocol.

HOW TO BE ARROGANT… LOL

• The first key to being arrogant is to believe you are as good as you say you are. So tell yourself you are the best and take pride in every single thing you do.
• The second key to being arrogant is having a silent presense. Your body language needs to reflect a higher status value - stand up straight, make confident purposeful movements, do not smile often, and walk with long strides.
• Don’t just talk superior; be superior in what it is you say you are superior at.
• Set the highest standards of etiquette for which your vocation calls.
• Have some cash with you all the time.
• Dress well.

Updates Updates

I just reached home and thought i should make my blog post today before heading for a bathe. Well, today i wake up at 4+ am, do some photoshoping and coding till 7am, eat some instant noodles as breakfast, watch Return of The Living Dead movie sequels and fall asleep till 12pm.

Meet jay and headed for guan quan house after that. It’s been a quite a long time since we met guan quan. Play some pool game and i left after the dinner to settle some things. I will be reformatting my pc tomorrow and yeah, there’s hell lot of things to do, reinstalling software, wireless network blah blah blah. I have a talk with jay today and he’s been doing freelancing for companies. Seems that market price for a static plain designed html page in singapore is around $80 so I am thinking of doing some freelancing to fund kan.sg community. Server expenses are quite expensive for a jobless guy like me and i think i should do something about it.

As for this blog, i had not been making progress with it due to that fact that i am spending most of my online time on kan.sg. I am planning to set up the community blog this weekend. However, i will not be neglecting this blog either. It seems that that there’s alot of people are talking about the google next pagerank update, thus i will be waiting for another week before selling the remaining ads in this blog. Hopefully i can get a better price for it.

Will be watching Return of the living dead 5 after my bathe. Have a nice day.

Best way to learn designing websites

I asked this question to alot of people. Asking them how they design/develop websites? Which book is best for beginners like me. I compiled a list of answer i got from those web designers and developers and the common answer i got from them is, “By doing projects, and by making mistakes”. You learn as you do projects. I guess that’s the reason we had tons of projects during our school life.

If you ask me what is the best way to learn web design/development, i would say, from competitors. I started learning to design website after watching an anime called Inuyasha and my first html website is an inuyasha fan site(no longer exist now). One of my friend, at that time, also started this learning process with me. Every then, we will improve our own fan site trying to make it better than the other. So from tables to div layers, from html to php, from paint to photoshop. Competition really drives improvement. With a competitive mindset, it can really drives one to improve himself. Inspiration is another factor that drive improvement. Anyone heard of adam khoo? I didn’t heard of this guy before one of my friend recommend it to me. This guy can really inspired people. And for your information, he is the youngest self made millionaire in singapore. His blog is at www.adam-khoo.com

I bought one of his book called secret of self made millionaire a few years ago, and reading his book really inspired me up. Recommended book if you are interested.

I use robotform, do you?

A lonely saturday

It’s 2.13am , sunday. Damn, i missed my blog entry for saturday. Well, i was blog hopping and went across Netcovered’s blog. I found something useful there and i thought i should share with the others. Netcovered had a good article about “how many backlinks to get a better google pr”. This article is really informative and i think you guys should “hop” over there too. www.netcovered.com. Netcovered also have some step by step tutorials on creating wordpress themes, which i personally find it very useful and detailed for beginners who are interested in  designing wordpress theme.

Nothing much i had done today, i spent my whole saturday in my room, alone. Nah, i am not anti-social, just don’t feel like going out today. Those who know me well will know that i am that kind of person that like silence. I am coding the new site for kan.sg when penguin come online to chat. He’s coming back on the 23rd of april and yeah, finally we can start our plans for advertising for the community. I know It’s quite a bad timing for starting the communtiy as we are going to army soon but however, i am glad that we are committed.

I am off for some supper… Thats all..

Php screwed up my day!

Finally had the time and mood to blog now. Damn, today, i was supposed to meet some of my friends in the amk and php totally screwed up my day. I was stucked with php preg_replace and pagination, and hell yeah, it wasted me at least 5 hours trying to figure out that damn stupid problem. Couldn’t blamed it on others but myself for not learning php well. Also, thanks to hogan_h for helping me with the preg_replace, it may takes me longer if i were to figure that out myself.

Some updates in this blog. Currently, i stopped submitting this blog to the list of directories and developing wordpress themes for the link strategy. This is due some to projects on hand. My feedburner subscriptions had increased slightly by a little percentage. For traffic wise, still not increasing. i guess something definitely needs to be done. I had still have some adspots that are available, i think i will be selling them off at a cheap price, maybe $2 per month.

Well, i am heading off to buy some dinner now, i have not eaten anything since afternoon…..

Teaching you how to make money online?

I received couple of emails asking me, Derek, what is the purpose of this blog? Are you teaching us how to make money online? I would like to clarify one thing here. No, this blog is not about teaching you how to make money online, its a personal blog of mine and this blog acts as a  trackback to my online ventures. Furthermore, I am not in position of teaching others how to make money online, because i myself did not make alot of money online. I have seen alot of money making blogs and their entries are all about teaching you how to make money online and stuffs like that, BUT in actual fact, those bloggers are not making alot of money online though. You get what i mean? If you do not make much money online, how could you blog about making money online? Those bloggers claimed to make alot money online, but sadly, there’s no proof about the money they made. Those screenshots, etc.

This blog will mainly be about how i tried to make money online restarting from zero, my life, my online ventures. I believed that readers would be more interested to find out how i tried to make my money online rather than how i bragged about how much money i have made. People are more interested in the process rather than the results. And in this blog, i will be restarting myself from zero. Meaning i will be blogging about how i will make those money online from nothing, without any investments. I think that will be more exciting and challenging. When i mean by zero, i mean with only a working pc or laptop with internet access and “the raw materials” you had.
