Why Kan.sg is developed?

Just a month ago, beng hwee and i decided to team up and create an entertainment community in singapore called Kan.sg and since then, i had been busy designing kan.sg and beng hwee went to malaysia to visit his grandma. Many of you may have thought kan.sg is developed to “earn money”. But however, earning money is not the main reason why kan.sg is being set up. In fact, we had been been losing alot of money, expenses for the server, forum software etc.

Main reason why kan.sg is set up is because we would like to create an community whereby our friends or others can connect with each other. We would like to create a place where we can actually meet more friends, and discuss things together. Kan.sg is so called entertainment community is mainly because we are drama addicts and we believed any one else of you watch TV too. Currently, i had been receiving alot of comments from others. Are those contests in Kan.sg for real? Are you guys really giving out prizes? I would like to clarify this concern here in my blog. Yes! Its real. We had already set aside available funds that will be used to “sponsor” the contests. We wouldn’t have organize any contests in the first place if we do not have the funds. Those prizes are just for you to claim! And i get some questions like, How you guys find sponsors for the contest?” Well, i had to say those money are mainly from our own pockets, currently we do not have any sponsors. I had been funding kan.sg with all the money i make money online by designing websites and from my blog.

ARE YOU CRAZY? My reply will be “We are not crazy, we believe Its worth it”. We would like to create an community whereby everyone can participate and of course, we are more then willing to give out incentives for your participation. After all, this community is not created for us, its being created for all of you. However, i would like all of you to follow the rules of the contest carefully. I just banned one person this morning for trying to fake referrals. Its unfair to the others.

Lastly, i would like to thank all of you, my friends. For making the effort to register and support kan.sg. Not to mention, those friends that put “Join Kan.sg Now!” in their msn nick. I appreciate it alot. A big Thank you.

Also, Thanks to nicolas for being so active in the forum and his help to get others to join. Currently Nicolas already had 7 referrals(the highest) and i believe he will soon be getting his free cathay movie voucher mailed to his house.
