Mark Zuckerberg - Facebook

I guess everyone know about the website that this guy called Mark Zuckerberg developed. Yes! It’s Facebook! Recently, i am experimenting with the facebook features such as friend adder, friend searching, applications  and it’s a really powerful platform. I registered my account couple of months ago ( i am not one of those early birds, i can be consider those late adapters) for the purpose of advertising and marketing, but never really sign in and explore it till recently.

Mark Zuckerberg created this facebook when he was still studying in harvard university in his dorm room in summer 2006. And never did he expected that facebook is the next big thing in the web, with around 75 millions (increasing alot everyday) of members worldwide, averaging $150 Million in revenue (not sure whether its anually or monthly). Make a guess how old Mark Zuckerberg is? This guy is only 23 years old this year and already have a net worth of 1.5 billion dollars. He is the youngest self made billionaire in the world!

Facebook is the most “happening” start up in silicon valley and many analyst are consistantly comparing Mark Zuckerberg with great people like steve job (apple) and bill gates (microsoft). As facebook’s popularity increases tremendously day by day, big titans like microsoft, yahoo, viacom begin to analyse and take a serious appraisal at facebook. They are pumping money with a lot of zeros to buy facebook. But, mark disagreed as facebook is just off the peak.

Yahoo offer 1 billion dollars for facebook which inturn tempted Mark to sell off his baby, but however due to some reasons, yahoo reduced their bid of 1 billion to 800 million, and back to 1 billion 2 months later. However, Mark rejected the bid as he knew facebook will be worth far more alot on its own. Due to this incident, Mark rose to fame in silicon valley, as the “cocky” young guy that rejected 1 billion dollars.

Today, facebook is worth far more than 1 billion dollars and Mark definitely make the correct decision for not accept yahoo’s bid.

He Make The Impossible Possible

I have started this blog with the intention of motivating and inspiring myself, to keep me going and going. Just recently, i learnt of one guy who inspire and motivates me. This guy makes the impossible, possible. And unfortunately, he is ”different” for us, normal people. He…….. He is born with NO Arms, and NO Legs, but however, he managed to do things that some of us might not have done.  His determination, his strong will, and his spirit is what that inspire us. He, is Nick Vujicic.

Nick Vujicic is an  motivational speaker and the director for “Life Without Limbs”. He talk about his life, how he move ons, and how he succeed in life. With no limbs, we, people may thought, he will not be able to do things that normal people can do, such as writing, swimming, playing drum etc. But, THIS GUY PROVES THE WORLD WRONG!!. He writes with his mouth, he can swims, and he can play drum (with his deformed leg).

I am really impressed by this guy’s determination and spirit. And, by looking at his achievements makes me feels “inferior”. His determination and spirit is what i think we should learn from. Unlike most of us, his life is full of hardship and difficulties and he managed to overcome those. Normally, most of us give up due to hardship or difficulties and yes, I am one of those that give up easily. If he can do it, why can’t us?
