How to deal with stress
Busy with your work? Busy with studying? doing marketing? working outside or rushing project? If you are doing so, i believe there will be a time where you feel stressed and frustrated with your work. That’s normal, everyone feels that. How to deal with stress?
From my experience, once you reached that stage of time, you definitely need a rest. Forcing yourself to keep moving on and continuing with it will not help. Infact, the results will be negative. Results in terms of quality of work produced, unhealthy lifestyle etc. Same for studying examination, imagine you have one paper tomorrow and you have not even start studying for it. So i guess, the first thing that you reached home is to start studying for it. Am i correct?
However, you are so tired that your mind doesn’t work effectively, not to say you have to study a 300 pages book for the exam paper tomorrow. This is one scenario that i encountered when i was in school. And to overcome it, when i reached home, i have a 3 hours short afternoon nap to rest my brain. After then, i started my studying and i can say that the effects are positive. Instead of just forcing yourself to complete that 300 page book for the exam while you are beat tired, why don’t you take a short rest. Let your brain and body regain the energy. You will be able to absorb more in that manner. Study smart and hard. ( P.S not “study smart, not hard”), that what one of my friend told me.
Here are some of the methods i used to de stress or inspire myself when i was on the verge of giving up
1) Open up window media player and listen to Avril lavigne’s songs for a few hours. LOL, i don’t know why, but i feel very refreshen up and charged after listening to her songs.
2) Take a short nap. ( Remember to set your alarm clock or you will be in deep trouble).
3) Go for a short walk near your house. Breathe in fresh air and absorb the power of nature, look at green trees or plants.
4) Go to popular blogs/forums and get inspired by them. The ones i frequent are digitalpoint forum and http://www.webmaster-talk.com/real-life-stories-of-inspiration/
5) Talk to your friends in msn, they will motivate you if they are real friends. (P.S You can talk to me online when you are about to give up, i will stop and try to motivate you. Just add me in my personal msn)
6) Visit successful blogs and read their entries. Blogs like shoemoney.com, johnchow.com, theuniversitykid.com.
7) Play with kids or babies. They will brighten up you alot. ( P.S, this method only applies if you have babies or kids at home)
8 ) Go find a mirror and tell yourself. “I won’t give up”.
9) Go youtube and watch some video clips.
