Effective Writing Tips for Article Marketing

If, at this point, you are already able to compel a reader to read through your article, you can say that you already know a thing or two about writing compelling copy. However, that is not the only thing that makes an article suited for article marketing. Below are some things to take note of in order to write articles that are effective for article marketing.

Know Your Audience

When you are in the process of writing your articles, try to imagine who will be reading them. Try to imagine who your target audience is. When you do this, think about the words that they may use to search for the information that you provide. It is always important to put yourself in the mindset of your consumers. One way to learn about how they search for your the product or service that you offer is to do some searches yourself. List the keywords that you think are pertinent to your offerings and try using them in search engines. Check out the results and see if they are at all similar to what you offer. If they are, you are probably on the right track. The next thing to do then is find out how to make your keywords even more targeted and how to make your offerings more appealing to your audience compared to those that have appeared in your previous search.

Article marketing is a means to let your target audience know that you understand them and that you know exactly what they need. If you are able to determine your target audience’s exact needs, it would be easier for them to trust you when they read your articles.

Ask Some Questions With Your Articles

When people are not clear about something or there are things that they do not understand, they most likely will have some questions in mind. As you put yourself in the mindset of your consumer, try to determine what those questions may be. When you do this, make sure that you use them in your articles and that you provide straightforward answers to those questions. This will give your readers a feeling that you really do understand what they need and that you are likely the person to have what they want. Also, try to make sure that your readers have a way to contact you if they have any further questions. This may help you not only to gain more trust but also to gather more ideas for your next articles. By listening to your readers, you will have an easier time in finding out what they really need to hear and what keywords they use exactly.

Speak To Your Audience’s Emotional Mindset

If someone is feeling passionate about solving a problem, they will be very animated and passionate about it. The language that is used is often very animated and emotional as well. If you use the same tone in your articles, you will be speaking to your reader’s emotional mindset. This allows them to trust in the points you are making in your articles. Speaking the language of your readers and audience is a way to speak in the keywords that they use in their life.

Although article marketing can be a very easy task, it may end up a disaster if you don’t do it correctly. It is important to make a good impression to your readers and the only way to do this in article marketing is to follow the basic writing tips above.

Pointer Domains and Domain Masking Not a Good Idea

[ December 5th, 2008 ] Posted in » Talk of the day

Does your company have multiple domain names with similar content because of domain masking?  You might think that the pointer domains appear in various sites, but you still have just one main site.  Google, when they index your pointer domains, may actually index all the domains you have or just drop them completely.  If this is something happening to you then you need to know what to do.  Google usually only indexes the original website and content, which means you are losing consumer base if you don’t fix the problem.

Google and other search engines don’t like domain masking or pointer domains.  They believe the sites to be a duplicate site.  For example you have a URL www.cats-dogs-petcare.com.  You also have a URL www.allpetneeds.com.  The domain name names are different.  However, the pages are actually showing similar content.  In fact you just copied and pasted information from one site to the other, with no changes.  Google then does a crawl of the two sites.  The search engine sees duplicate content.  Google now decides to choose the first site over the second and displays it in the results.

Google may also decide that since both are duplicate content neither site will be shown in the results section, therefore both are not indexed.  The best thing to do in this case is to get rid of one site completely.  You don’t want to have the domain masking, which is essentially a different name for the site.  You should also change any pointer domains you have to a permanent 301 redirect to the main site.  This means anyone using the alternate site will be sent directly to your new page.

After you have ended the masking of pages from Google you can get your missing pages back.  All you have to do is log into the Google Webmaster Tools and submit a request for consideration.  You should explain the problem you had, that you corrected it, and see if they will allow the pages to reappear.  Typically after reconsideration Google will index the none duplicate pages again.

If you over look what we have mentioned in this article it could damage the search engine optimisation of your website. This could be a terrible shame if you have a high quality website which is not getting ranked well for it’s relevant keyphrases just because you overlooked such details.

Search engine optimization is a technique used for getting numerous visitors on your website. This technique is used to make your website search engine friendly for certain keywords. Most visitors trust search engines for searching relevant websites, therefore your website should be attractive to a search engine so that it can list your website in top results of selected keywords.

We are presenting few steps which are effective for search engine marketing:

  • Each page of your website is a separate and different and so you have to optimize each and every page.
  • Recognize the keywords for each page separately and optimize them accordingly. There are many tools which can take your page as an input and then recommend popular keywords.
  • You should also make sure that you have appropriate title for each page and use it at least once in your text. You should choose the title according to the content of the website and not some static heading like your Company’s name.
  • You should also have Meta tags and their descriptions because many search engine still consider Meta tags.
  • You should then make sure that you are maintaining appropriate keyword density and it should not be less than 2% and more than 4%.

You should also understand your audience and optimize your website accordingly. If you are selling products locally then you should also focus on local search. You should also understand that buyers also look for local websites because they charge less shipping cost and delivery is also quick. People are also more confident when they buy from local retailer.

If you are planning big then you can have multiple stores which make it possible for you to give a local retailer to buyers in multiple locations. Most people also use yellow pages for local search. Therefore, you should also get your advertisements in yellow pages and local news papers. You should also give your local mobile number so that people can call you and they are more comfortable.

To enhance your local search results, you can also have support in local language. You can also get your office position in Google Maps. There is local listing by Google where you can add your website for free. Therefore, if someone is performing local search, your website will also be listed. You should also optimize your website for keywords having your location for example you can customize your website for keywords like “mobile London.” So, if you optimize your website, you can definitely get more sales.
